About Me

"Live a balanced life – learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work everyday some."
- Robert Fulghum

I’m Brittany and I write YA fiction. At the moment, I’m working on my third novel,  an Urban Fantasy that's so completely different from anything I've ever written that it must be good. I started out writing Contemporary Adult fiction and then switched to Contemporary YA a few years later when I realized that writing from the P.O.V. of someone my age meant I had more to say. And I have a lot to say.

I was born in Southern California, but at heart I live in a tiny cabin somewhere where it rains more than it shines and there's massive trees and green things and giant bugs that terrify me and forest animals that intrigue me, and did I mention rain?

I collect coffee mugs that I don't have the cabinet space for and I have a weakness for old furniture and expensive body lotions and I bake things when I shouldn't and I like to stack my books on top of one another just to see how high the stack can grow before it becomes dangerous.

This blog is where I try to follow the advice of Mr. Robert Fulghum's above; learn some, think some, play and work everyday some. There probably wont be any singing or dancing around here, though (at least not mine). I'm not that cruel.
